LG launched limited edition Urbane Luxe 23-Karat Gold-Plated Smartwatch

LG and US-based REEDS Jewelers introduce the LG Watch Urbane Luxe, the world's first luxury Android smartwatch. Presented in a limited edition of 500 worldwide, the smartwatch will retail for approximately $1,200 (approx Rs. 79,500), and is now available for pre-order in the United States via the Reeds Jewelers website.

The LG Watch Urbane Luxe is crafted with 23k gold heavy plate, an artisanally handmade Alligator wriststrap, and a mechanical deployant clasp also in 23k gold heavy plate. Combining ingenuity and luxury, each LG Watch Urbane Luxe is individually numbered and presented in a piano gloss lacquered case with a signed certificate of authenticity.

The LG Watch Urbane Luxe comes in brown Alligator, with additional limited edition color Alligator wriststraps available. REEDS will assemble your Urbane Luxe with your selection, and include the original brown Alligator wrist strap in the package. An extended 2-year (1-year battery) LG warranty is included.

"Wearable devices shouldn't be thought of as an extension of one's smartphone but an extension of oneself," said Chris Yie, vice president and head of marketing communications for LG Mobile Communications Company. "This blending of craftsmanship and technology is a natural evolution of the smartwatch, which is becoming more of a lifestyle accessory than a piece of hardware. We think this is a good direction for wearables and we want to encourage this transformation."
